Father's Day Gift Guide

Thanks for visiting With the Specs, an affordable style blog based in Omaha, Nebraska. This post may contain affiliate links, which means that the blog gets a percentage of your sale kicked back (at no extra cost to you) if you purchase something that I recommend. I will never recommend products that I don’t love.

Okay, okay, I KNOW that Mother's Day is this weekend, but frankly, if you haven't purchased a gift yet, there's not a whole lot that I can do for you at this point. But you can redeem yourself with Father's Day by getting ahead of the curve and starting now!

Does anyone else struggle as much as I do to find their dad really good gifts? I feel like I’m so uncreative, and when I ask what exactly he wants, he usually just replies “nothing.” He doesn’t have glaring hobbies to pull ideas from (like, he’s not building ships in bottles or anything), and there’s only so much golf and motorcycle stuff I can get away with.

Some people hike, bike, or swim when the weather gets nice. I take four steps outside (within range of my wifi) and online shop. And you benefit.

For Father’s Day this year, I’m stretching myself, and I thought I would help you do the same! I’ve put together some great Father’s Day gift ideas that I know he’ll love. AND because we’re an affordable style blog over here at With the Specs, all of the options will keep you on budget.

Here we go!

Double-Edge Safety Razor

Tired of me talking about this yet? For real. There’s nothing better than an eco-friendly item that also gives the gift of a killer shave (but not, like, actually killer because that would be bad - just clarifying).

PhoneSoap Smartphone Sanitizer

His phone is filthy and covered with the nastiest of germs. Give him this cool doo-dad to clean it up. Another great Uncommon Goods find.

Grilling Cookbook

It’s like a regular cookbook, but manlier. And if you’re lucky, he’ll invite you over to try some of the recipes. So it's really a gift for you.

Beard Oil

Lots of it. Dads deserved to be pampered, too.

A New Backpack

Because I’m guessing he’s still using one from the 90’s, am I right?

A Stone Drink Dispenser

So maybe touch base with mom on this one to make sure this will be allowed out, but MAN this thing is cool, and it just screams “classy gent”. Uncommon Goods is also one of my favorite places for gifts - they have really unique choices.

So there you have it.

Six great gift ideas that I know will bring a smile to his face.

See how I recommended a double-edge razor above? I explained why they are so great in my last post. Read it here.
